During our last 4 road games (2 non-conference and 2 conference), our scoring average was less than 64 ppg. We need to find other ways to score, in case we can't establish our inside game and our outside shots are not falling.
One way is to increase fast break opportunities. I should have decreased the def rebounding intensity during the 2nd half of the last game, but elected not to.

This coaching thing is a process. that's what I love about coaching college hoops, or hoops at any level. It's extremely complex and there are tons of factors to consider. Basketball is the ultimate coach's game, IMO.

Pre-game Notes
[INDENT]1. Their starting 2 is the conference's leading scorer at 17.5 ppg. He is also an excellent outside shooter, going at a 51% clips for 3-PT. I will switch Granville to guard him. No double team yet, but can change later during the 2nd half
2. My starting big men (Majerus - 6-7, 191; Cook - 6-8, 228) are almost always on a height and weight disadvantage with their counterparts. This time, we'll be facing a similar-sized front court, at least height-wise. Their starting 4 is 6-6, 228, while their starting 5 is 6-8 256. We'll try to go heavy inside at the start.
3. Both teams like to score; Sam Houston and Lamar are 1-2 in pts, not only in the conference, but in the entire association(*). Lamar has scored at least 85 pts in 7 games (3 of those games, they scored 90+), so they can score!
4. The key here is to establish our defense early.
