Sep 4: time to whittle down our recruiting list and start getting ready for a couple of grueling weeks of travel. We have some outstanding athletes interested in our program, and now I've got to sell it.

Sep 18:

We get our first verbal commitment for the year from:
6'3 182 lb JUCO So. PG Dominique Webster out of South Gate, CA. Dominique is an athletic point. In a year where point guards were hard to come by we decided to go to the JUCO ranks and are pleased with the results. Dominique is ranked 49th nationally and 7th at his position.

sep 25: Disappointing week for us as we lost two of the recruits we'd been going after to Duke and Arizona.

Our schedule has been finalized, and little Ed did it again. We have 7 teams ranked in the preseason top 25 on our schedule, and only one of them on the road in a return game to Notre Dame. In fact, with no in-season tournament game this year, our only other road game is the return game to Loyala-Marymount from the Bracket Buster last season.

Holey moley, Batman! I think we deserve honorary membership in both the ACC and the Big East based on this schedule! Even playing most of our games at home this is going to be a brutal schedule! By the way, we are ranked #16 in the preseason poll.

yeah, just like if you are a bottom dweller and ask for softies at home you get 3 home games. In the past though when i asked for a balanced schedule I GOT a balanced schedule, like last years. I wonder how many home games I would have gotten if I had chosen "we'll play good teams, but at home"
