Mister Outside
This dynasty is one of a pair. The other is “Mister Inside.” I want to see how a team does when the strategy is set to Heavy Outside. In recruiting I will focus on SCR and outside shooting first, then passing/BH, then D (I won’t take anyone with “F” for D, and will try to avoid “D”).
Both dynasties will have the same set up EXCEPT for Outside vs. Inside game strategies.
I will start with Skill set ratings for the head coach totaling 200 points (amateur), but Off- 50, Def- 30, Scout- 60, Recruit and Player Dev- 30. Scouting progresses very slowly. Max. levels will be Off-90, 75 for each of the others.
I will start at San Jose ST, Mountain West, Prestige 30, Facilities C+, Academics C- at both schools. I will stay at the school throughout the dynasty (5-10 years).
Mr. Outside will use the 5 Out and Motion Offenses. On D it will be about 25% man, and the rest split about equally between 2-3- and 3-2.
I will sim the games, stopping every two weeks, or when there are injuries, to make lineup adjustments.
There will be no “back story.”
5/1/’15: We hire coaches, trim the roster, buy the Gold West regions scouting report and the Basic national and international.
6/26: 6 scholarships.
8/21: We offer to 3 PGs, an SF, a PF, and a C. A few are long shots.
9/18: We have a schedule.
9/25: All 6 of our guys committed… Unfortunately, 5 of them committed to other schools. We got a PF.
10/2: First day of practice. I like this team.
We’re picked 4th in conf.
11/6: We have a lineup.
(Note: As it worked out Outside has a MUCH stronger team than Inside does. Just the way the computer set the teams up.)
