Does playing out of position lower a player's performance? Most players should be able to play 2 positions (PG/SG, SG/SF etc). Does it alter player tendencies (like SF taking more outside shots when playing SG)?

If they move to the position next to theirs it doesn't seem to have much effect, but a C at SG won't work too well.

I actually have not had a lot of success playing a tall, highly skilled SG at SF. A couple of times I was loaded at SG and tried this and it didn’t work as well as I had hoped. Could be a small sample size though.
I have found PF and C to be completely interchangeable.
