First off, I understand there are many, many factors in the game that can play a role in affectingQB completion percentage.
But I'm seein a such a huge discrepancy there's got to be some big hidden aspect I'm missing.
I have run my own 10 team made up league through 10 weeks. Overall I'm quite satisfied with the statistical results.
Until just now - just to compare, I created another 10 team league. This time, however, I had the computer simulate the firat ten weeks. I have done a deep comparison, and ratings throughout the league, specifically QBs and WRs, and their ratings are comparable actoss the two leagues,
However, in the sim league, the completion percentage is around 5-7% higher than in my league, and actually much more in line with the modern NFL. This is the biggest stat area that is off in my league. Could I perhaps provide my rosters, or some other data files to where u might be able to pinpoint what is different? Is it merely bc the computer simmed the games vs my playing them out? I know I obvious am calling a different game, but each one of my teams has a different playbook and style of offense. Also, looking at the play analysis for the Siml league with the higher comp per, it appears they are employing similar game plans. Some of the teams in my league actually are just running the playbooks that come with certain coaches, yet none of the QBs in my league are much above 60% if at it at all. So its not ratings, its not plays called, seems the only difference is the simming. Is this what u think it must be? I sure hope not bc I want those results and would be a shame if we could only get them by skipping the whole 2-D gameplay feature entirely thats become one of my 5 favorite thigns about this game!
