Why is my league's completion percentage so low?

Why is my league's completion percentage so low?

First off, I understand there are many, many factors in the game that can play a role in affectingQB completion percentage.
But I'm seein a such a huge discrepancy there's got to be some big hidden aspect I'm missing.
I have run my own 10 team made up league through 10 weeks. Overall I'm quite satisfied with the statistical results.
Until just now - just to compare, I created another 10 team league. This time, however, I had the computer simulate the firat ten weeks. I have done a deep comparison, and ratings throughout the league, specifically QBs and WRs, and their ratings are comparable actoss the two leagues,
However, in the sim league, the completion percentage is around 5-7% higher than in my league, and actually much more in line with the modern NFL. This is the biggest stat area that is off in my league. Could I perhaps provide my rosters, or some other data files to where u might be able to pinpoint what is different? Is it merely bc the computer simmed the games vs my playing them out? I know I obvious am calling a different game, but each one of my teams has a different playbook and style of offense. Also, looking at the play analysis for the Siml league with the higher comp per, it appears they are employing similar game plans. Some of the teams in my league actually are just running the playbooks that come with certain coaches, yet none of the QBs in my league are much above 60% if at it at all. So its not ratings, its not plays called, seems the only difference is the simming. Is this what u think it must be? I sure hope not bc I want those results and would be a shame if we could only get them by skipping the whole 2-D gameplay feature entirely thats become one of my 5 favorite thigns about this game!

Okay sorry I just noticed something important that is def related - my league's passing really seems overall like a throw back to the seventies or something - 57% comp rates, but with several receivers with long yards/catch figures, much higher than you see today.
Well in the SIM league, just as the comp% figures are higher more in line with today's say 63%, the yards/rec for receivers and thus of course yards/completion for QBS is closer to 10-11 than 12-13 as in my league. I'd love to have the option to run either type of passing depending on which era a particular league I make is based on, but I need to know HOW exactly to control this. I;d think maybe lower ACC league wide QBs with higher ARM, but thats not the case; our two leagues are about the same in this respect. I also could see the advanced yardage passing settings affecting this(isnt that supposed to result in more big plays in the passing game?) but that hasnt been adjusted either. The only factors that i can of are-
1) simming vs playing games
2) calling more long passing plays

I suppose i could be calling more long passing plays, but its hard to know for sure bc i just do not think the Game Analysis is tracking play results correctly

We don't really tune for one season at a time because of how many differences there could be. It very well could be the plays you tend to select when playing out the games have lower completion percentages due to deep down field throws.
