That Should have been a SACK

QB dropped back, then ran forward about 1 yard, ultimately being tackled 9 yards behind the line. Shouldn't this be considered a sack? I saw none of the tell-tale signs, the "SACK" sign appearing over down and distance, the crowd response, etc. The play is referred to as merely a run in the play by play, as well.

QB runs aren't sacks

I guess it would really depend on if it were a designed QB run. If the play call is for the QB to run, then yes it's not a sack. If it was a drop back pass play and he didn't see anything so decided to take off, then yes it should be charted as a sack.
