Importing Playbooks causing crashes

Importing Playbooks causing crashes

Postby Punter715 » Wed Nov 04, 2020 3:46 pm

Hey, every time I try to import a playbook I get the same error:

"The program has encountered an error and must close.

You can go to www.wolverinestudios.com or contact support@wolverinestudios.com for additional support."

Is there a way to get the playbooks into my league without importing, or how to make importing not crash the entire game?

Thanks!

Post the import file on slack or somewhere that you can share it and I'll take a look.

Hey Brooks thanks for the reply but I guess I didn't describe the issue correctly.

Just clicking the Import Playbook button crashes the game. I can't even select a file. If I simply click the button to do so the game closes and I get the error.

I'm not sure how to diagnose. You can send me the DDSPFLog.txt file that appears in your my docs\wolverine studios\ddspf21 folder. Maybe that will have clues. The buttons work for me so far in the leagues I've tested.

Hey Brooks. Here's what shows up in my DDSPFLog.txt file:

DDSPF Error Log

Source: System.Data.SQLite
Message: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

If you can figure anything out I would be super appreciative. I've uninstalled and reinstalled already and nothing is working.

I would try running as admin, and possibly adding the game to your AV/Firewall exclusions list. That's the only thing I can think of that would be causing issues. This part of the code is all internal and isn't something I really have access to debug, or fix, so I'm going on the assumption that something else is blocking the internal call from your system.

Hey Brooks. Just tried all of that and still getting the crash issue. I have the Steam version and made sure all the stuff in the pinned thread is installed. Could it simply be that I'm using the Steam version and not a version directly from WS?

I don't think the code is any different on steam versus the WS version. Is anyone else noticing this issue? Post here if you are so we can gather more info.

Hey Brooks. I'm not sure why this would be an issue, but I was running the game originally on Windows 8.1
I went through and updated to Windows 10 and everything is working fine.
Thank you for all the help though!!
