Hereafter

4/1: Lots of excitement. This is all new for Betz and Alan.

We score the first 12! Up 9 after 10; Alan looks good. Up 23 at the half; we're rockin' it! Betz has been in foul trouble all night but Alan is playing great. Up 29 with 10 left.

90-68, a blowout! 22, 10 for Alan in his first game in more than 2 months! 19, 11 for Udel, 18, 6, 6 for Shay, 13, 6 for Betz despite the fouls.

+10 RBs, 6 TOs.

#1 seed, #4 ranked Syracuse, 33-5, for the title. We crushed them by 21 at our place in December. Our front court and our bench did them in. We played great D, we rebounded, and we owned the paint in every way. They are an excellent defensive team but they don't score a lot and they don't hit the glass. 6-3 vs. ranked teams.

We would have loved another game against Cal but it was not to be.

4/3: Here we go!

Back and forth early. Up 3 after 10. Lots of whistles against us. Tied at the half and I max the D. We start the half with a run! Up 1 with 10 left. We
go to the man. It works again!

93-86 and back to back titles! 22, 5 for Betz, , 18, 2, 8 for Shay, 16, 1, 7 for Ston. The bench matched theirs. They shot 50.9% but we shot an amazing 55%; 7 more shots, 5 of them went in. Amazing!

4/4: Awards: Del Betz is Final Four MOP> I am national COY. Shay makes 1st team All American for the 3rd time. Betz makes the 2nd team. In conf., Betz is Def. POY and
Frosh OY. Shay and Betz make the 1st team. Udel makes the 2nd team.

There are a couple of schools I would consider going to but very few.

TP is up to 95.

Lots of calls but no. I'm staying.

We're losing Shay, Betz, Alan, and Udel so it won't be easy to threepeat.

4/23: I ask for money. About $20,000 more and I could go to all the camps.

No.

38-2, National title repeat. Overall, after 14 seasons, 404-96, .808.

Can we do it again?

5/1: #1 preseason. #2 recruiting class.

Now in the PAC 12: UNLV, Gonzaga, San Diego ST, Kona. Now out: Colorado, Arizona ST, Oregon ST, Washington ST.

6/5: We buy the National and International Gold.

Nobody transferred out. We have room for 1 transfer. We need bigs.

6/12: Nobody we want.

Interestingly enough all six babies resulting from the mating exchange with the Tralmorians were born today. All the babies are healthy and seem perfectly normal.

6/25: We'll go to the Indy Elite camp again.

6/26: Alan went #3, Betz #14, Udel #44 in the draft.

We have 3 scholarships to give and we need 2 bigs.

Go for 11 championships so they'll rename the Wooden Court, the Wooden Legacy Tournament, and the Wooden Award for you.

7/17: We are in the MuuGi solar system heading for the 2nd planet, their home world. We've been communicating regularly as we approached their home world. They continue to appear very friendly.

7/22: We're in orbit around the MuuGi home planet. Unfortunately, this is as close as we can get. Their planet's atmosphere is so toxic and caustic that it would dissolve our Hazmat suits. We plan to exchange technologies, discuss philosophical issues, world view (or universe view, I suppose), plans- all sorts of things.

7/31: We seem to have run out of issues to discuss. We have learned a great deal from each other and it has been a pleasant experience. We leave orbit to continue our journey in the morning.

8/7: Wow! 6 on the Norton list: PF Sha Mara is #4, C Sid Bett is #6, PG Jed Jank is #11, C/F Lorn Brum is #29, PG Ty Hart is #42, and PF Al Savo is #49.

8/21: We offer to a PG and 2 Cs.

Back in deep space and away from any solar system. It will be some time before we reach the next one.

9/18: We get the PG, #10.

Preseason NIT vs. Hawaii. Every team on our pre-conf. schedule is ranked.

9/25: We get the 2 Cs, #17, #37. They should all hit our SAT score, but we'll keep recruiting in case any players go pro.

10/2: 1st day of practice. We have a shot at a threepeat.

11/13: We start the season at the NIT vs. Hawaii tomorrow. We don't know much about them so we'll adjust on the fly.

Here's our lineup:

Our two starting guards are returning senior Joel Ston and frosh Jed Jank. They'll spend about equal time at PG and SG until we decide who is best at each position.

#3 guard is junior Ty Hart, #4 senior Nadi Hara, #5 soph Josh Dezo, and finally, frosh Ted Lacy.

Junior Al Savo is at SF, frosh Sha Mara at PF, and frosh Sid Bett at C.

Soph Lorn Brum, a transfer from Kentucky, is first off the bench and looking for more minutes. Junior Jay Winn is the only other big we have. Injuries inside could be a real problem.

11/14: Early lead. The rookies are something to see! Up 15 after 10. Up 27 at the half. Up 35 with 10 left.

81-53. 18, 12, 3 for Bett, but 4 fouls, 17, 3, 10 for Jank, 17 for Mara, 11, 1, 5 for Ston.

9 TOs. We held them to 37.9%. +12 in the paint.

Only 2 upsets in the first round of the NIT. We play #8 seed St. Mary, 1-0, next. They won with D yesterday and they have a strong bench. They don't look that impressive.

11/16: They take an early lead but we quickly turn it around. Up 6 after 10. Up 20 at halftime. Bett and Jank are really solid players. Up 24 with 10 left.

95-59. They couldn't stop us and they couldn't score on us.

22, 8, 4, 4 steals for Bett, 18, 6, 8 for Jank, 13 each for Mara and Savo, 10, 7 for 6th man Lorn Brum.

Some big upsets in the 2nd round of the NIT, #2 Kansas is gone, and we'll play #12 seed ST Joe, 2-0, who upset both #5 and #4. They have a very good outside game except they turn it over. They can rebound. But I expect another blowout.

11/18: It's close early. Up 7 after 10. Okay, we've found our groove now. Up 16 at the break. Our bigs are dominating. Up 16 with 10 left.

98-75. Not the D I want to see but the O is certainly doing the job.

22, 12, 5 steals for Bett. 21, 7 for Mara, 12, 1, 9 for Ston, , 8, 4, 7 for Jank. 14 for Brum.

8 TOs. We shot 50.7%, 10-19 on threes. 8 TOs to 23. +28 in the paint.

Hopefully, our first challenge in the final of the NIT. #3 seed, #5 ranked Michigan ST, 3-0. They have an excellent outside game; they hit shots and they take care of the ball. We should have the edge inside and I'm not sure their D can stop us. We'll see!

We drop to #2 in the polls.

All 3 recruits sign.

11/20: I think this game will tell us a lot, but we're young. With a young team, if you stay healthy and if things work out you're a lot better late in the season. Still, this will tell us where we are at this point.

They're a good team but we're leading early. Up 7 after 10. Their guards aren't doing much yet. Up 6 going into the lockers; it's a game! They tie it and I ramp up the D. Up 3 with 10 left. We go to man.

20, 16, 2, 3 steals, 4 blocks for Mara; HUGE game! 21, 7 for Bett, who has been rock solid. 14, 9 for Savo.

+10 RBs, 10 TOs. +14 in the paint, +19 on 2nd chances. We totally controlled the inside.

1-1 Louisville is here. They play really good D, or have so far, but I don't think they can beat us.

The probe at 10 o'clock has spotted something a little smaller than Earth's moon,. But trailing something sparkly. A comet that size has never been seen but that may be what this is. We're having the probe pursue it and we're setting a course to intercept so that we can study it. Hey, that's why we're out here.
