I was referring more so to the mystery in the holos for this season at least.

I purposely write myself into a corner regularly. I love the challenge of writing my way out of it. In short, I don;t know when or how this will be resolved!

2/23: At 15-13, 8-9 Minnesota. We won by only 7 at our place. On paper this is an easy win but it wasn't last time.

2/24: Back and forth early. Down 5 after 10. 35-43 at halftime. Our D is awful, 55.6% to our 39.1%. 14 TOs which is terrible for a half; not great for an entire game! -12 in the pain. We simply didn't play very well in the 1st half. Down 10 with 10 left; we're in trouble.

64-75. We just didn't have it tonight; poor effort, poor execution.

18, 7 for Prio. Only 4 2nd half TOs but it didn't help. We shot 33.3% for the night and were -12 in the paint.

Despite the loss we clinched the regular season Big 10 title.

#5 big man Mal Barr broke his ankle. He's out for the season.

We're getting closer to the solar system but not much info on the planet with life. It doesn't seem to be very sophisticated life. Looks like we may need to actually get there before we can evaluate it accurately.

2/26: At 18-8, 11-6 Maryland, tied for 2nd place. So it's a big game for them. There are 4 teams one game back of them. The odds makers have this as a toss up. They don't score many but only give up 58.9; given our poor offense vs. Minnesota that's a concern. We'll need to play well.

2/27: Slow start then we take the lead. Up 18 after 10. 40-22 at the half. We're a completely different team than we were last game.

Balanced scoring. Good bench play. Only 4 TOs. We held them to 23.1%. Up 13 with 10 to play.

63-45. We were ahead all the way. Excellent D!

23, 11 for Prio, 14, 10 for Sims. +9 RBs.

We have a 5 game lead on 6 teams with 2 to play. The difficulty will be getting my guys motivated. They were tonight, so let's hope!

More time on the boat. Hali and I both love to be on the water. We want to set up a storm at seas, but not until the hoops off season because we want it to be an adventure that lasts a few days. Right now we're just relaxing on the boat with calm seas.

2/28: 11-16, 7-11 Rutgers is here. We won by 16 there. If we play well this is a walk over.

3/1: Slow start. Up 4 after 10. 36-19 at the half. +18 down low, and that's the key so far. Up 22 with 10 to go.

70-37. Yep, it was a walk over. 17, 6, 5 for Prio, 13, 5, 5 for Laws, 14, 6 for Nico, 6, 13, 3, 5 blocks for Duna. +22 inside.

The injuries are piling up. Sam Prio hurt his calf and will likely miss the regular season finale.

3/2: The regular season ends with one of the worst teams in the Big 10, Nebraska, 10-19, 4-15, here. We won by 26 there.

3/3: We're flat early. Up 5 after 10 but we're not impressing anyone. 28-30 at halftime. 11, 5 for Duna but no one else is doing much.
25.7% shooting, to 52.4%. 9 fewer TOs. We need to wake up! Up 5 with 10 to play.

60-51. If I had bought a ticket I'd ask for my money back.

17, 12, 3, 3 for Duna, 10, 8, 3 for Nico. 11 TOs to 27 and +30 in the paint.

3/5: We end regular season play at 29-3, 18-2, #1, #1 NET. We win the Big 10 by 5 games.

+13.9 PPG, +4.7 RBs, -6.5 TOs, +3.8 assists, +4.1 steals.

PPG for Prio, who will be back for our next game. Duna had 12.3, 8.0. Sims had 6.6 RBs, and Prio had 6.3. Laws led us with 4.6 assists and Prio had 3.8.

Prio is #8 on the Norton list.

The dreaded day when players announce that they're going pro. I thought we'd lose Ari Duna, and we will. Ron Edge, who has lots of potential, also declared.

We're headed for the post season, which is always very exciting!

3/8: We play #9 seed Minnesota, 17-15, 9-11, in the quarter finals. We won by 7 at our place and lost by 11 there. We don't match up well with this team. They beat us inside at their place and we were in foul trouble all night. On paper we win easily but it hasn't worked out that way. Let's see if we play better this time.

3/9: My guys have the right attitude just before the game but I'm nervous!

Close early. Down 2 after 10. Up 10 at the half. 13 for Laws. Only 2 TOs. +6 from the line. Down 1 with 10 left. What is it with this team!

58-61. They hit a 35 footer at the buzzer.

16 for Laws, 12, 8 for Duna, but Prio was in foul trouble all night and was out played by his man, as were Sims and Nico. The bench was
-3. -6 RBs. They shot slightly better and beat us inside. I truly hope we don;' meet them in the Big Dance; they've got our number. This loss
will no doubt cost us the #1 overall seed but we're probably still a #1 somewhere.

3/11: #7 seed Maryland beat #12 Wisconsin.

3/12: #1 East, #1 overall. I'm shocked!

This is a year when there is no standout team. Every contender has at least 4 losses, and at least one bad loss. It should be an interesting tournament!

We start with #16 seed, play in winner Alabama A & M, 17-17.

3/16: We score the first 11. Up 15 after 10. 45-19 at the half. The subs will get lots of minutes. 10 for Laws, 8 each for Duna and King. +8 RBs, +14 in the paint, only 5 TOs. Up 27 with 10 to go.

81-51. Sub C/F Ely King led us with 18 and 6. +17 for the bench. +24 down low, +12 RBs, 9 TOs to 25. It won't be this easy again!

3/17: #9 seed Alabama, 23-11, in Round 2. No shocking upsets in the first round. They're 3-6 vs. ranked teams. If we play our game we should be fine.

3/18: They take a quick lead. Down 3 after 10 as we come back a little. 35-32 at halftime; it's a battle! 15 for sub Ely King who has been hot lately. Prio is struggling again, 3 fouls and only 4 points. We need him to do better or we'll be going home soon. +14 for the bench.

We're shooting only 30.3% to 40%.

“One and done, guys!”

Tied with 10 left. It's a nail biter!

70-57 but it was closer than that; we heated up a little late in the game.

17, 5 for King, 10, 15 for Sims, 11, 4, 8, 4 for Laws, 12, 4 for Duna.

+16 RBs, +14 inside. But 20 TOs.

I had a talk with Prio after the game. We NEED him.

We are in orbit around what looks like a very quiet planet.
