Baltimore Brigade Announced

June 19, 2014

Baltimore, MD - Kevin Plank and Under Armour Sports LLC announced the Baltimore Brigade as the new XFL team. The Baltimore Brigade represents the city of Baltimore's rich military history and symbolizes the strength of the city and the team playing as a unified force on the field. The logo, colors and uniforms were also unveiled today during a press conference at Royal Farms Arena, which is the home for the new Baltimore team. The Brigade uniforms symbolize the team's motto: One Team. One City. One Brigade. Each of the home and away uniforms will have the Brigade name stitched on the side of the uniform pants.

"Baltimore is a historic and proud city, and we're thrilled to be able to reveal today the Baltimore Brigade team name as the latest addition to the city's sports' landscape," said Plank. "A brigade is defined as a unified military group, so what better way is there to describe our team's determination and drive to win, while also signifying their city and their dedication to the community."

"Today is an exciting day for the team as we can officially become known as the Baltimore Brigade," said Plank. "We are proud to be able to represent the city of Baltimore and having our official team name, colors and uniforms announced for the world to see is exhilarating. We can't wait to begin our inaugural season."

David Siegel Completes Acquisition of Orlando Rage Franchise

July 18, 2014

New York, NY - Orlando Rage LLC, a company owned by David A. Siegel, Founder and CEO of Westgate Resorts, has purchased the Orlando Rage XFL Football team. The acquisition comes with the promise of returning the franchise to its most visible and competitive position, while simultaneously creating more opportunities to give back to the community. "The Orlando Rage is a great football franchise and I look forward to helping them to remain highly competitive for years to come," Siegel said. "They provide great entertainment value for locals and visitors alike and have been a staple in our community since they were introduced into the league over 10 years ago. The team is an ideal platform for providing entertainment for the youth. Given our new location back at Amway, we particularly want to ensure the youth of the surrounding communities enjoy access to the games taking place nearby."

"The Orlando Rage have always been a major competitive force in the XFL," XFL Commissioner Michael Huyghue said. "It is only fitting that David Siegel, a proven winner himself, be admitted into our proud league as the newest owner of the Orlando Rage. We look forward to great things from David and the Rage in the years to come.

Mayor Buddy Dyer added, "This is exciting news for our city and comes at a time when Orlando is undergoing a very significant transformation as a sports destination. It is also great to see the Rage return to the Amway Center, where they will enjoy a state-of-the art facility and provide ideal proximity to their fan base. We applaud David for his vision in bringing this forth. The Rage will be even more fun to watch going forward."

Mammoths Declare a "Code Orange" for Saturday's Game vs Washington

April 4, 2015

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Mammoths have declared a "CODE ORANGE" for Saturday's game vs the Washington Valor. "CODE ORANGE" means that the organization is asking all loyal fans in attendance at the game to wear the team's primary color; orange. The team will be wearing their alternate home uniform, which highlights both an Orange jersey and pants, and the organization will be giving out free Orange Rally Towels to the first 10,000 fans through the gates, sponsored by Heineken & Miller Lite.

"The team has gotten off to a slower start than anticipated, but it's time to get that first win this Saturday at home in front of our fans," said Mammoths VP of Business Operations George Manias. "We want nothing more than to see how loud it gets and when the final buzzer sounds with the Mammoths coming out on top."
