1/22: A huge win at #3 Duke, 69-66. They missed a half court heave as time expired. 20, 5, 9, 3 for brit, 15, 10 for Burr. We led most of the way, but never by a great many points.

An easy home win versus #14 Xavier, 84-53. 27, 9, 6, 6 for Brit, 18, 18, 3, 3 blocks for Burr, 18 for Norv. +15 from the foul line. 6 turnovers and we dominated inside.

85-74 here over #2 ranked Michigan ST. We led for the last 38 minutes. 21, 18 for Burr, 14, 5, 3 for Norv. +18 in the paint.

81-74 over #1 Kansas here. They led by 10 at halftime. We came roaring back, and we led by as many as 15 in the second half. 25, 7, 7, 4, 3 blocks for brit, 17, 15 for Burr, 16, 9, 3, 7 blocks for Norv. +11 from the foul line. We were stronger inside.

In our first 4 conference games we beat the #1, 2, 3, and 14 ranked teams! And all of this was done with starting PF Milt Hart out of the lineup. He will miss one more game.

Oh my, two songs I have begun hearing within the last week that will undoubtedly be played for years and years: “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling,” and “Peg o' My Heart.”

73-55 over Baylor here. We led all the way. Hart is back. Burr had 19 and 13. 15, 7, 7, 4 for Birt, 14, 9 for Hart, 14, 6 for Norv. +18 RBs.

A 91-71 win at Michigan. 19, 15, 3 for Hart, 15, 10, 4 for Burr. A big edge inside.

Sub guard Todd Hask hurt his wrist. He'll miss 3 games.

Ivan Brit is #11, Jeb Burr #13 on the Norton list.

64-71 at #7 Wisconsin. We led by as many as 16 early. The lead was down to 5 at the half and they took over later. 15, 14 for Hart, 14, 6 for Brit. The game turned around at about 10 minutes into the first half when Jeb Burr twisted an ankle. He will miss three games. Cam Brox will start.

3/9: We play #8 seed, #8 ranked Duke in the quarter finals. There will be no easy games in the Conf. A tournament! We won by 3 there, and by 10 in Storrs. They have trouble scoring, but they play excellent defense.

3/10: Close early. Up 3 after 10. 31-27 at the half. 11 for Burr, 10 for hart, but Hart has 3 fouls. Up 4 with 10 to go. A run!

69-56. Great defense! +17 from the foul line. 16, 7, 3 for Hart, 15, 6, 7, 3 for Brit, 15, 7 for Burr.

3/11: We play #4 seed, #6 ranked Wisconsin, 24-6, 12-4, in the semifinals. They won by 7 on their court and are favored to do so again. We need to stop their outside game, which beat us last time.

Game time: Close early. Down 8 after 10. 30-40 at halftime. We're shooting 33.3%. Brit played only 3 minutes and has 3 fouls. We need a major turn around. Down 8 with 10 to play.

59-63. We played good defense but never got the offense going, 34.9%. Brit fouled out in 19 minutes and we cannot win without him. And Burr shot 1-9. 19, 11 for Hart, 13, 7 for Norv.

Hopefully we will still be a #1 seed.

3/22: #5 seed, #15 ranked Oregon, 25-9, in the round of 16. We are heavily favored. They are strong defensively but have difficulty scoring points.

3/23: It is close early on. We lead by 5 after 10 minutes. 32-15 at the half. Excellent defense. Up 16 with 10 to go.

55-37. Very low scoring game but we were never threatened. I suspect this was our last easy game. 19, 7, 7, 3 for Brit. 10 turnovers to 22.

3/24: #2 seed, #5 ranked Wisconsin, 28-7, in the round of 8. They have beaten us twice this season, by 7 and then by 4 points. They won both games outside. We need to stop their outside shooters, which we have twice failed to do. We have lost only three games this season, two to this team.

3/25: Down 7 after 10 and they are doing it outside. 21-26 at halftime. We are shooting 28.1%. They are winning the battle of the boards as well as beating us outside. Down 11 with 10 to play. This team has us stymied; we're shooting .275.

60-66 to end our season. We shot 31.5%. Last college game for Nash and Brit.

4/3: #2 ranked Kansas is the champion.

4/4: Awards: Ivan Brit is a second team All American. In Conference A, Brit also makes the second team. I had hope for recognition for Burr and Hart.

4/9: I am pondering whether to remain here at UConn or to try to bring a very low rated team up through the ranks. I will do the latter eventually, if not now.

TP falls from 93 to 89.

Boston U. and Harvard are tempting but I shall remain here for at least one more season.

4/23: I ask for money.

HUGE increase of $72,000!

29-4, round of 8. For 12 seasons my record is 336-67, .834.
