15:32, Up 7-2
Sloppy start for both teams' 7 combined turn overs
7:59, Up 22-12
Hard to imagine that we're leading by 10, given our 9 turn overs.
3:54, Up 24-13
Halftime, Up 31-25
Highlights
- We played excellent defense, until the last couple of minutes of the 1st half when they were able to put up some pts on transition. We allowed ARIZ to shoot only 32% FG, 9 turn overs. Almost half of ARIZ's output came from the FT line, going 12-18 FT, no thanks to the 14 fouls called against us.
- Our FG shooting is decent at 46%, but we can't get enough attempts due to our 11 turn overs
Adjustments- Defense: Use m2m exclusively
- Off intensity: Lower to 5
Start of 2nd Half
15:32, Up 42-30
SF Sam Millar starting to heat up again, 14 pts, 6-9 FG
11:52, Up 48-34
7:54, Up 55-41
Turn overs continue to pile up on use (17), which is keeping ARIZ at a striking distance. We go to 2-3 zone bec of foul trouble of our big men
3:53, Up 62-44
We'll slow down the game
Final score: Arizona - 52, USC - 66

Notes- Our defense was good today, limiting ARIZ to 33% FG and forcing 17 turn overs. More importantly, ARIZ only scored 3 2nd chance pts, which further limited their scoring options
- C C Hasheem Bailey able to step in nicely, and made for the sub par performance of our starting big men. SF Anthony Bryant and PG Antonio Parker also chipped in for much needed scoring support
- We need to take care of the ball better. 21 turn overs, 10 coming from our point guards
