Suggestion Thread

If you have suggestions it would be great if you could just list them in this thread - if they are fairly minor or easy to implement there is a good chance I will do it (and if not pre-release then after) - if its a big suggestion I will note it for future versions.

Quick Suggestions:

1) Could you set up a "top 3 player for each team" graphic for played/watched games instead of just simmed games? Maybe it could be a pop up screen that comes from the box score? I really like that graphic on the sim screen but it would be a really nice thing for the played-out games so you can kinda see a quick summary of who was important for that game.

2) It seem like the background color is a bit lighter gray on the Starting Lineups Screen. Looks much better against the Primary team color (player name) but the jersey number could clash if it's a gray color. Would be nice if that was the primary color or full white. Also the stats below the players are a little hard to read as they are smaller. I would suggest white for these. Overall it seems to look better than last year.

3) In the 2D Gameplay, the team stats background clashes with the team abbreviation text quite often. Maybe you could extend each teams primary color to meet halfway through the top of the Team stats area and provide the background for the abbreviation (and use the secondary color as the text)?

4) I think someone suggested before to have a second lineup that you could store in the depth chart. That would be cool.

Also *** Commodores (clippers) jersey is too high on the body.

First off.....

THIS. IS. INCREDIBLE. I'm going to be listing many suggestions/thoughts/questions, but know that this is something I've wanted for YEARS and this is the best NBA simulator out there by far. Really great work.

That being said, here's some suggestions:

- Active roster in the NBA is 13 players. Would love to have that added flexibility vs. the 12 in DDS.
- The pick swap verbiage is confusing. When Denver trades "pick-swap: better", it seems that actually means that you are trading AWAY the better pick swap, yes?
- Fast-forwarding while playing/watching games don't update the stats or the gamecast. Would love to see the stats change and the actual players in the game change even when fast-forwarding
- The "Season Headlines" have way too many stories... call-ups from the developmental league shouldn't be a headline
- Small ask, but could we put the overall rating next to the player's name on the depth chart screen? Would help determine who I actually want to play more
- Better depth chart logic is needed for AI teams. There are SF's playing center, situations where players are playing all 48 minutes, etc.
- The biggest for me.... an injured reserve list. Current Giannis AND Bobby Portis Jr. are out for 45+ days for the Bucks. I should be able to put both of them on an injured reserve list and activate 2-way players or other players.

It'd also be neat if you could do all of the current pick trades in the NBA when opening up the default roster (I've been doing a lot of work manually trading this picks around)

Will respond to the other earlier posts but there's a quick answer for this one and its that I don't do it like this intentionally because a) its really impossible to do it accurately given the nature of conditions and complicated items from the NBA picks and b) it starts every team off on an even field which is good for people who want to play as certain teams which may have dumped their future picks already especially if its a MultiPlayer league where some teams might be hard to fill if they have no or little future picks

Makes sense. Yes, some of the trades in the NBA are absolutely bonkers, I just decided to skip some as I tried to execute them in DDS.

- Can you please increase the size of the numbers on the box score? It can be hard to see at times.
- Can the discipline rating be edited within the game instead of using SQLite?

1) Let me think on this a minute

2) I'm trying it out with an outline of the primary color so lets see how that goes

3) Is there an egregious example of this I can look at? Like which team(s) are the worst here?

4) Probably won't do this because what's the reasoning? It's really meant as a way to store your "normal" lineup so you can just swap back when people come back from injury. What would be the "other" lineup you would store? I think if anything I would lean more to like a sub button or something that put in the five best shooters or five best defenders or something like that if that is what you're going for.

5) will fix LAC player card jersey

1. I will look into this - might even just do away with it and just have the game assume injured players too hurt to play are the inactive ones to make it easier for people to manage
2. You are correct - I tried to make it display what you are trading away. So if you add Jokic to the trade you are trading Jokic. If you add the better end in the pick swap you are trading away the better pick
3. It does not update because it just bogs it down because too many resources get used at once trying to update things that quickly
4. I guess that's a matter of personal taste but you can go to the transactions page and filter by particular things you are looking for
5. I will consider this although the OVR does appear at the bottom of the screen when you click on the player along with his stats and other info
6. This is something that I need to see in person. If you go under HELP in the game there are instructions to submit the game files to our support system. In the default file players are assigned position capability if they played some real life minutes there and its all assigned from that and not me trying to assign position eligibility to 600 players. I would need to see which players in particular you are talking about here.
7. There is no IR in the NBA and the roster limit is 15 players - you can cut players to activate your 2 way guys but there is not like bonus roster spots because of injuries

1. I will see if I can do this closer to real life
2. This is a tough one because there is only so much space. If only one team was displayed at a time that would be different but some people might not like that but maybe that is how it should be because that is how NBA.com and ESPN.com present the box scores.
3. Yeah I don't know why its not there but I will add it
