California’s offense remained hot (59% shooting) in the 2nd half and they gradually pulled away to upset Oklahoma State. Brent Phillips topped California’s scoring with 21 points. 15th seed Kent State (16-16) vs 2nd seed #9 Oregon (24-6)—[After a slow start, Oregon harassed Kent State forcing repeated turnovers and took a 44-30 lead to the locker room. Oregon’s defense didn’t allow Kent State to close the gap in the 2nd half. Aaron Swan scored 22 points and Kedric Willis scored 11 points and hauled in 10 rebounds for Oregon.
