Roster Files

Roster Files

Postby buckup » Thu Sep 07, 2017 8:50 pm

Is anyone making a 2017/18 player roster?

If not, would anyone be interested in contributing to make their favorite team's 53 + Practice Squad? Before the final product everyone contributing could take a look at the roster submissions to make sure no one completely homers out and makes their team super-powered.

If anyone is up for this, I have little modding experience but I'm a disgruntled Cowboys fan that loves Dak and crew but hates Jerry...I think I can be pretty impartial.

Thoughts?

You can download the madden ratings, keep only the PF18 ratings and use the converter to turn the csv into a json file to import into PF18. All you have to do is figure out what nfl team is what team ID and you can import the players right into the teams.

Robmeister89 can you elaborate on this process. Im really looking for a good roster, and current one on this site didn't work for me. How would we transfer the madden file? I have madden for PS4, is it done from the game or from a website?

You can find the madden rosters online in excel format. PF18 ratings are all in madden so just take those and put them in the proper order. If you have PF16 you can export some players to see the format to use. If you don't I'm sure there's a mod somewhere here that had the roster format.

Once you have the ratings that PF18 uses you put them in order. You also need the player name, height, weight, jersey, position, etc. Basically you'll have to turn the madden roster into a PF16 roster. Some excel knowledge and you can do this in less than 5 minutes. Team ID can be found by exporting csv files from the options menu and viewing the teams.csv. Assign the correct team ID to the respective NFL rosters, assign everyone a player id (any number will do, the game will assign them an official one) and finally use the converter Brooks provided to turn the csv into a json file. When creating your league use that file as your players and choose to auto assign players to rosters based on team ID.

Oh and you'll have to fix some positions (RE/LE should be DE, etc)

I'll have a 2017 roster by the Sunday at the latest. The current version is getting good stats, but I need to make it
Compatible with future classes. Madden is a bit overpowered.

I'll release the Json and a QuickStart.

Thanks GBMoore just curious how do you go about making a roster? Do you manually plug in every player into a file?

Thanks for the response and info. I hadn't noticed the modding section for DDSFB before either...I'll probably wait for gbmoore's stab at the roster file and tweak from there.
