I usually decide I'm not ready for that big a jump, and stay at least two seasons at my first school. I also go (roughly) by the rule that my Head Coach Reputation rating should about match the Team Prestige of the school I accept a new job at. I might be a little short of that if other things are right (Good players coming back, good recruiting class, right fit academically...), but not a lot.

Ok i guess disregard what i previously said. Playing with Bryant at 6 prestige and was able to land the #286 Center and #396 Point Guard. Looks like i'm not leaving any time soon.

Ok started my first season as the head coach of Bryant University and started with 6 prestige. Finished the season 8-19 (3-15) and my prestige is still 6. Season has ended and i am currently at the job search screen and here are the head coaching jobs available:

Clemson - 46 prestige
Kansas State - 52 prestige
Mississippi - 46 prestige
Missouri - 49 prestige
Northwestern - 46 prestige
Tennessee - 49 prestige

I know it's not an exact science but isn't this a little odd or at least tooooo soon?

I have the files and won't proceed with the season if you need them.

What is 6 for prestige - your rating or your team's prestige? If its yours I would like to see the game files and see why you're being offered those jobs

Better question is, what is your coach's Reputation rating. Maybe Gary would like to see all of the head coach's ratings. For example, if your Head Coach's reputation is 35 (or 45 or 55) then getting those offers is not so surprising. If it's 6 (or 16) it's very surprising.

Yeah, think maybe the COACH REPUTATION is up in the 35-50 range. That definitely would explain why there are HC offers like those being offered.
