How does multiplayer work?

Is it possible for me and my friend to start a multiplayer league from different computers and play in the same league? If it is possible, is it possible for him to be my assistant for my team so that we can work together to build a championship squad?

No this is not possible at least not as actual coaches in the game - of course you could both share the same login and coach and work together though to collaborate on what to do
