11/17: We won our road opener, and now we head for the Tip Off in Paradise. We’re the #2 seed. We play #7 Central FL.

11/18: 88-77. 20, 12 for C Kal Coff, 11, 10 for 6th man Jon Hays. +14 RBs, 9 TOs.
#6 seed Bradley, 2-0, in the semis.

11/19: 95-70. 19, 7 for Hays, 20 for PG Ward Redd, 15, 9, 4 for Coff. +7 RBs, 7 TOs.

#1 seed, #8 ranked Virginia, 3-0, for the title. They look really strong.

11/20: 72-92. In over our heads. 23, 7 for Hays.

All 3 recruits sign. We’re still chasing guards.

12/4: 7-1, RPI #65. Considering we’ve played exactly one game at home I’m happy with this! We put Hays back in the starting lineup and he’s lighting it up.

12/25: 10-1, RPI #20. +12.5 PPG (#6), +7.4 RBs, +3.3 TOs. We’re picked 4th in the A10 but the goal is to win it.

1/1/2022: 12-1, 2-0. RPI #25.

1/15: 16-1, 6-0. Ranked #25. RPI #35.

1/29: 19-2, 9-1, #23, RPI #29. 2 game lead in the A10. +13 PPG (#8), +5.6 RBs, +5.0 TOs. Hays leads us with 15.0, 8.1. 5 guys average 12.6 or more.

2/12: 22-3, 12-2, #20, RPI #26. 3 game lead in the A10.

2/26: 27-3, 16-2. #15, RPI #20. We win the A10 by 4 over VCU. +12.9 PPG (#9), +5.4 RBs, +5.6 TOs (#1). 5 starters average between 15.5 and 12.1 PPG.

3/7: We play #8 seed Duquesne, 14-16, 9-9 in the A10 quarters. We won by only 5 at our place and then 4 there.

3/8: 75-64. We were down 12 early, down 9 at the half. We made a couple of adjustments and just woke up, really. 16, 7 for Walk. +14 RBs, but a lousy 18 TOs.

#12 seed St Joe, 14-17, 7-11, has been hot. We play them in the semis. Beat them by 40 at our place but then only 3 there.

3/9: 76-79. Very disappointing. We didn’t rebound and they went to the line 10 more times than we did. 17, 10 for Hays, 19 for Jack, but we just didn’t play very well.

Hoping for a #5 seed but the early exit makes that unlikely.

3/12: #6 South. We play #11 Long Beach, 21-9. We feel like we’re better but not by a lot.

3/17: 78-66. We played pretty well. They doubled out C, Jon Hays, but PF Kal Coff and SG Will Jack had 17 each. 16, 6 for SF Vic Walk. Only 4 TOs all night.

#3 seed, #8 ranked Temple, 25-5, in the 2nd round. Tough game. They have a gret C, and they’re solid everywhere.

3/19: 70-82. We never led but we never quit either.

4/3: #13 ranked Syracuse beat #17 Virginia by 2 for the title.

4/4: Awards: Jon Hays is A10 POY and 1st team along with soph Kal Coff and junior Will Jack. Junior Vic Walk made 2nd team and I am Conf. COY. Lots of talent coming back!

4/23: I ask for a budget increase. Got a much needed $10,000.

29-5, 84.4 PPG (#17), ranked #15, RPI #24, 75-27, overall for 3 seasons.

5/1: #46 recruiting class.

6/5: We are going after a C.

6/12: Got him!

6/26: 4 scholarships. We need at least 2, maybe 3 guards.

8/21: We offer to 2 PGs, an SG, and a PF.

9/18: Got 2, lost 2. Got a PF, #330, but he’s better than that, and a PG, #342, and he’s also better than that.

Tip-Off in Paradise vs. Illinois.

9/25: Lost 2 more.

10/2: Got a PG, #36. We want one more recruit.

1st day of practice.

10/30: Got a PG, #155.

11/6: 8 man rotation:

Soph Ward Redd is at PG. Senior Ben Hogg starts at SG, subs at PG.

Frosh Jean Wats and senior Will Jack sub at SG. Jack also subs at SF.

Senior Vic Walk is at SF, subs at PF. Also subbing at SF is senior Ad Brig.

Juco junior Ad Mamm starts at PF, subs at C.

Junior Kal Coff starts at C.

11/17: 1-0 heading for the Tip-Off in Paradise. Illinois is the #4 seed and we’re #5.

11/18: 85-65. 18, 7, 4, 2, 3 for SF Vic Walk, 19, 8, 3 for SG Ben Hogg. +10 RBs.

#8 seed TCU, 2-0, upset the #1 seed so they’re next.

11/19: 79-66. All 5 starters played really well as did backup Sg/SF Ad Brig.

#6 seed, #12 ranked Missouri, 3-0, for the title.

11/20: 89-81 and the title. 18, 13 for C Kal Coff, 20, 5 for Ben Hogg, 16, 5 for PF Ad Mamm. +14 RBs.

All 4 recruits sign.

12/4: 8-0, #11, RPI #5 (WAY too high). We’re playing well but except for the tourney the schedule has been weak.

12/25: 10-1, RPI #8. We’ve been ranked but fell from the top 25. +16.4 PPG (#6), +8.4 RBs, +4.2 TOs. Our starters average between 17.7 (Kal Coff) and
10.3. Mamm gets 8.9 RBs and Coff gets 8.4. We’re picked #2 in the A10. We plan to win it.

1/1/2023: 12-1, 2-0. Great start to A10 play.

1/29: 19-2, 9-1, #24, RPI #11. One game up on Dayton and GW, 3 or more on the rest. +15.4 PPG (#5), +9.0 RBs, +3.4 TOs.

2/12: 23-2, 13-1, #13, RPI #10. 3 game lead in the A10 with 4 to play. We’re playing really well!

2/26: Kind of a late fade, 26-4, 15-3, #11, RPI #15. +13.5 PPG (#4), +7.6 RBs, +3.7 TOs. We win the A10 by only 1 over Dayton, 3 or more over the rest.

3/7: We play #8 seed St Joe, 13-15, 8-10, in the quarters. We won by 17 there.

3/8: 80-64. 20, 11 for Coff, 20, 5, 3 for SG Ben Hogg, 14, 8 for PF Ad Mamm. +12 RBs, 11 TOs.

#5 seed Duquesne, 20-10, 11-7, in the semis. Beat them by 14 at our place. We are only a ½ point favorite though.

3/9: 64-74. Wer came out flat and stayed flat. I tried everything I could think of but we never really played with any energy. -11 RBs and just an awful night.

We thought a #3 was possible if we won the tourney. Now? Hoping for a #4, but it’s probably not likely.

Duquesne crushed Dayton for the A10 tourney title.

3/12: #5 West. We play #12 Murray ST, 21-9.

3/17: 80-61. Easy win. 17 each for starting guards Hogg and Redd, 14, 11, 4 for Coff. +14 RBs, but 18 TOs.

#4 seed, #11 ranked Oklahoma, 25-7, in the 2nd round. We’ve never gotten past the 2nd round and it won’t be easy to do so this year.

3/19: 66-74. We started off flat and fell behind by 14 early. We finally woke up but never got it closer than 3 (twice). 16, 10 for Mamm.

4/3: #15 Stanford beat #5 KY by a single point to win the national title. Great game!

4/4: Awards: Junior PF Ad Mamm is A10 POY and 1st team along with Ben Hogg and Kal Coff. I am onf. COY.

4/23: I ask for a facilities upgrade. No.

28-6, 15-3. 84.5 PPG (#10). Overall, after 4 seasons, 103-33, .757.

5/1: #35 recruiting class. Year 5 so no recruiting.

9/18: At the Hawaiian Shootout vs. VA Tech.

10/2: 1st day of practice. Looks like we’re good and we’re deep. We’re picked to win the A10.

11/6: 7 player rotation:

3 guards split the time about equally, Frrosh John Hugg starts at PG, junior Wrad Redd starts at SG, subs at PG, and juco junior Luke Bord subs at both guard spots.

Senior Kal Coff starts at SF, subs at PF. Frosh Tom Mine subs at SF.

Senior Ad Mamm starts at PF, subs at C.

Soph Art Tigg, a transfer from California, starts at C.

Hey-o Wayno-o....Can you every now and then remind us who you are coaching?

Good that you move on to new schools every now and then, but as your posts build up after switching programs, sometimes I can't remember what school you last moved on to. :o

(Yeah, I'm too lazy to look back through your many posts to find the announcement of your move. )

Given that this is a test for this entire series I am coaching Rhode Island, start to finish, for every offense.
