#3 seed UMass, 20-10, 12-6, for the title. They crushed us by 25 there but we’re a 3 ½ point favorite.

This will hurt our seeding.

#1 seed, #4 ranked Michigan State, 31-3, in the Sweet Sixteen. They’re REALLY good.

3/7: We play #7 seed ST Louis, 17-11, 10-8, in the quarters.

3/8: 76-61. 25, 10 for Hend. +7 RBs, 11 TOs.

#6 seed LaSalle, 19-11, 10-8, in the semis. They won by 1 there, we won by 2 at our place. We’re very evenly matched.

3/9: 82-81. PF Jon Hays hit a 12 footer with less than a second left for the win. 5 guys with 10 or more. 16 lead changes, 10 ties. These two teams are about dead even.

It’s #4 seed Davidson, 19-11, 11-7, for the title. We beat them by 17 and 14 so the title is definitely in sight. We need to earn it, though.

3/10: 94-81 and the title! 27, 9 for tourney MOP Joe Hend, 17 for #3 guard Nya Meil. +9 RBs, +7 TOs.

We don’t expect a very good seed. Hopefully we can win a game though.

3/12: #12 East. We play #5 seed, #19 ranked Duke, 20-12. This won’t be easy.

3/16: 87-85. AMAZING!!! Crazy game, we led by 16 at one point, trailed by 15 at another point. We went on a late run to go up by 9, they whittled it down to the final margin. Both Hend and Hays had 22 and 11, and they were the keys to the win as we also had a +13 RB margin. Great win!!!

#4 seed, #20 ranked Arkansas, 24-8, in the 2nd round. It doesn’t get any easier.

3/18: 92-79. I am stunned! 32, 12 for Hend, who was there every time we needed a basket or a rebound. 17, 6, 3 for SG Ben Hoge. We were terrific!

#1 seed, #5 ranked Kansas, 27-5, in the Sweet Sixteen. As well as we’re playing it would take a miracle for us to beat this team. But… the way my guys are playing…

3/23: 81-91. We stayed with them for more than 35 minutes, and we never quit. 26, 10 for Joe Hend. +8 RBs. I couldn’t be prouder of this team!

4/3: #9 Ohio ST wins it all.

4/4: Awards: Junior Joe Hend is A10 POY, Def. POY, 1st team.

4/23: We ask for a budget increase. We get $10,450. We earned it!

5/1: #33 recruiting class. We buy East Gold.

6/5: Room for 2 transfers. We’re going after 2 bigs.

6/12: We get a PF and a C, both of whom look really good!

6/26: 3 scholarships. We’re going for guards.

8/21: We offer to a PG and 2 SGs.

9/18: We get an SG, #47, and a PG, #60. Lose the other guy.

Hoops Tourney vs. New Mexico ST.

9/25: Got the last one, a PG, #122, but he’s a lot better than that.

10/2: 1st day of practice. We’re picked to win the A10.

11/6: 8 man rotation:

Soph Ben Hoge is at PG. Redshirt frosh Ad Brig is at SG, subs at PG. Senior Nya Meil subs at SG.

Soph Vic Walk starts at SF, subs at PF. Junior Paul Robb and frosh Cris Guid sub at SF.

Junior Jon Hays starts at PF subs at C. Senior Joe Hend is at C.

#1 seed, #8 ranked Purdue, 9-0, in the semis. Tough team.

3/7: We play #8 seed ST Louis, 12-16, 9-9, in the quarters.

3/8: 92-75. We led all the way. 20, 11 for Hend, 21 for 6th man Paul Robb, 15 each for Hays and Hoge. +11 RBs.

#4 seed VCU, 16-14, 11-7. Beat them by 10 at our place. Looks like it’ll be close.

3/9: 70-88. The O was weak, the D was awful. 22 for Hoge, 18 for Hend.

Not sure if we’ve done enough to make the big dance, #49 RPI.

3/12: Nit, #3 Midwest. We play #6 seed Gonzaga, 18-12.

3/13: 87-76. We went down by as many as 17 early, but we came back. 6 guys with 10 or more.

#2 seed Duquesne, 23-9, from the A10 in round 2. They bombed us by 21 at their place.

3/15: 78-69. It was close most of the way. 21, 8 for Hays, 14, 15 for Hend, 18, 7 for Walk, 16, 4, 5 for Hoge.

#1 seed Oklahoma, 18-13, in the round of 8. Good team, better than their record.

3/20: 68-64. Close all the way. 28, 1, 9 for Hoge. They didn’t let our big guys score but we were +10 on the boards.

#1 seed Xavier, 21-12, in the round of 4. Tough team!

3/28: 68-79. We led by 13 early but they were tough and we couldn’t keep up the pace. 19, 10 for Hend. -14 RBs did us in as much as anything else.

4/3: #5 Louisville is the national champ.

4/4: Awards: Senior Joe Hend is A10 POY and 1st team along with soph Ben Hoge. I get COY.

4/23: I ask for a budget increase. We get $11,000!
