11/13: 80-95. We played little to no D. 22, 11 for SF Vic Walk, 12, 7 for C Joe Hend. Yes, they were a tough team but I’m not happy with the way we played.

11/20: All 3 recruits sign.

12/25: 6-3, RPI #52. PPG 80.6, #88.

3/7: We play #6 seed VCU, 16-13, 10-8 in the quarters. They won by 20 there. The odds makers have them favored by ½ point.

3/8: 84-73. 20, 7 for SG Cal Buck, 14 each for Hend and Hoge.

#2 seed ST Bonnie, 18-10, 13-5, in the semis. They won by 13 there. As for our last game we are ½ point underdog.

3/9: 88-66. We played REALLY well and were up 34 at the half. 32, 12 for Walk, 15, 18 for Hend, 11, 11 for 6th man Paul Robb. +30 RBs.

#8 seed GW, 14-16, 8-10, for the title. We won by 13 at our place, but yet again, we are a ½ point underdog. Maybe it’s lucky for us!

3/10: 87-90. 18 lead changes, 11 ties. We had an open three at the end but it went off the rim. 20, 13 for Hend, 18, 8 for Hays, 14, 11, 4 for Buck.

Did we do enough? I doubt it. I think it will be NIT again.

3/12: NIT #4 West. We play #5 Villanova, 17-12. Tough draw.

3/14: 88-67. Great win! 20, 19 for Hend, 22, 2, 6 for Hoge, 13, 11 for Hays, 13, 7, 5 for Walk. +17 RBs.

#1 seed Tulsa, 19-10 in the 2nd round. We match up pretty well with them.

3/16: 74-76. We blew a 16 point lead. They won it on an open 17 footer at the buzzer. 18, 10 for Hend, in his last college game.

4/3: Duke repeats.

4/4: Awards: Senior Joe Hend is A 10 POY and 1st team along with soph Vic Walk. Cal Buck is Frosh OY. I get COY.

4/23: I ask for a budget increase. We get $11,000.

21-12, 79.0 PPG (#109). Overall for 2 seasons, 45-22, .672.

Motion's performance while not being in the original offense is pretty amazing. That is a lot of ppg at 5 tempo.

3/7: #9 seed Davidson, 14-14, 9-9, in the quarters.

3/8: 86-77. 23 for Walk, 18, 14 for Brag, 15, 12 for Hays. +8 RBs, only 5 TOs.

#12 seed ST Louis, 14-18, 7-11, in the semis. Beat them by 11 and 8. If we play our game this should be a W.

3/9: 75-81. 17, 8 for Walk. We were awful.

So #10 vs. #12 seed for the A10 title.

3/10: #12 ST Louis wins.

21-9, RPI #28. Hoping for a #7 seed but that probably won’t happen given our semifinal loss.

3/12: #12 seed and a play in game vs. 20-9 Nevada. We were really disrespected.

3/14: 82-79. Close all the way. 25, 6 for Walk, 17, 6 for SG Jon Thom.

#5 seed, #20 ranked Memphis, 21-10, in the opening round. Won’t be easy.

3/17: 69-94. We were never in it. 16 for Walk.

4/3: Threepeat for Duke.

4/4: Awards: Soph Lar Brag is A10 POY, 1st team, along with junior Vic Walk. Senior Jon Hays makes 2nd team. I am COY.

4/23: We ask for a budget increase. We get $15,000. Didn’t expect that!

22-10, 82.8 PPG (#22), Overall for 3 seasons, 67-32, .677.

5/1: Recruit Class #126. I actually thought we had a good class. OLur best is a juco, maybe that’s it. National Basic.

6/5: 1 slot.

6/12: Couldn’t land anyone.

6/26: 3 scholarships.

8/21: We offer to a PG, an SF, and a C.

9/18: Lost one.

NIT vs. #13 UConn.

9/25: Got 2, lost on 1. Got a PG, #39, and a C, #81.

10/2: Got a PF, #99.

1st day of practice. We’re tagged to win the A10. This looks like by far the best team I’ve coached.

Juco junior Mal Alwa is at PG. Soph Jon Thom is at SG. Junior Cal Buck subs at PG. Senior Ben Hoge subs at SG.

Senior Vic Walk is at SF, with red shirt soph Cris Guid backing him.
