11/13: We head for the Coaches Classic where we play #5 seed, #13 ranked UConn. We’re the #12 seed.

11/14: 72-66! Great way to start the season! 16, 11 for PF Phil Howe, 16 for PG Mal Alwa.

#4 seed, #7 ranked Kansas in the 2nd round. UConn was tough but these guys- WOW!

11/16: 71-85. Tough team. We were in way over our heads. Still, I like my team, and we’ll get better! 14, 12 for SF Vic Walk, 14, 9 for Howe. Brag has not found his game yet but we’ve faced two teams with outstanding Centers.

11/20: 1-1.

All 3 recruits sign.

12/25: 8-2, RPI #25. +5.3 PPG (#180), +6.0 RBs, +1.7 TOs.

1/1/2023: 10-2, 2-0, RPI #22.

1/29: 16-4, 8-2, RPI #36. +5.8 PPG (#138), +5.5 RBs, +3.1 TOs. 1 game up on 3 teams.

2/26: 24-5, 15-3, ranked #14, RPI #26. +8.0 PPG (#72), +6.8 RBs, +3.3 TOs. We win the A10 by 2 over VCU, 4 or more over the rest.

3/7: We play #8 seed George Mason, 11-17, 9-9, in the quarters.

3/8: 94-56. Never a game. 20 for Walk, 16, 10 for Howe, 16 for Hoge, 14, 8 for Brag.

#4 ST Joe, 15-14, 10-8, in the semis. Beat them by 18 there.

3/9: 96-71. 25, 3, 13 for PG Mal Alwa, 19, 5 for Walk, 8, 17 for Howe, 5, 19 for Brag. +24 RBs, only 4 TOs.

#7 seed UMass, 17-13, 9-9, for the title. They beat us by 8 and by 7, but we’re favored by 3 ½.

3/10: 83-80. Close all the way. 24, 12 for Brag, 24, 8, 6 for tourney MOP Mal Alwa.

27-5, A10 champs, ranked #12, RPI #21. Hoping for a good seed!

3/12: #6 East. We play #11 seed UNLV, 2011.

3/16: 75-67. 19, 9 for Howe, 14, 4, 8 for Alwa. +13 TOs.

#3 seed, #8 ranked Purdue, 26-6, in the 2nd round. Tough one!

3/18: 53-77. Overmatched.

4/3: Fourpeat for Duke.

4/4: Awards: Junior Lar Brag is A10 POY, Def. POY, 1st team. Phil Howe is Frosh OY and also 1st team. Senior Vic Walk and junior Mal Alwa make the 2nd team. I am Conf. COY again.

4/23: I ask for a facilities upgrade. Got it, C+ to B.

28-6, 79.9 PPG, #66. Overall for 4 seasons, 95-38, .714. Great season!

5/1: Jaq Woro transfers out. He didn’t figure in our plans.

No transfers, no recruiting, it’s year 5.

9/18: Tip Off Tourney vs. Providence.

10/2: 1st day of practice. We’re picked to win the A10.

11/6: 7 man rotation:

Senior Mal Alwa is at PG. Junior Jon Thom is at SG. Senior Cal Buck subs at both guard spots.

Red shirt frosh Dez Sand is at SF. Junior Cris Guid subs at SF, PF.

Soph Phil Howe starts at PF, subs at C. Senior Lar Brag is at C.

11/17: 1-0, headed for the Tip Off vs. Providence. They’re the #3 seed, we’re #6.

11/18: 70-58. 12, 22 for Brag, 17 for Thom, 12 assists for Alwa. +18 RBs.

#2 seed Wake Forest in the semis. We feel like we have a shot at this one.

11/19: 70-60. 19, 9 for SF Dez Sand, 15, 10 for Brag, 10, 12 for PF Phil Howe.

Ranked #15 going to the tourney final vs. #1 seed, #13 ranked Oregon. This one is a toss up.

11/20: 75-92. We didn’t play D.

12/25: 8-3, RPI #47. +4.7 PPG (#104), +2.2 RBs, +4.0 TOs. Starters average between 13.9 and 10.8.

#6 seed Fordham, 21-10, 10-8, for the title. Beat them by 16.

3/10: 97-73. 23, 5 for Brag, 21, 5 for Howe. +11 TOs.

27-6, A10 champs, #11, RPI #12. Hoping for a #3 seed.

3/12: #4 West. We play #13 Albany, 19-11. Not a bad bracket.

3/17: 84-70. 18, 13 for Howe, 11, 16 for Brag, 19, 5, 4 for Alwa.

#5 seed UConn, 24-8, in the 2nd round. They’re a 2 ½ point favorite.

3/19: 62-69. Tough D by both teams; theirs was tougher.

4/3: Fivepeat for Duke!

4/4: Awards: Senior Lar Brag is POY, Def. POY, 1st team with soph Phil Howe. Dez Sand is Frosh OY and 2nd team along with senior Mal Alwa.

Overall for 5 seasons, 123-45, .732.

Final stats for High Post offense: 82.1 PPG (#27), 28-7.

On to the Shuffle offense.

Doesn't really matter since they were recruiting all 5-star players! :D

11/24: 2-1. Heading for the Palmetto Shootout vs. #1 seed Pitt, 2-1. We’re the #8 seed.

All 4 recruits sign.

11/25: 68-82. We were in over our heads. Joe Hend is supposed to be our best player but he hasn’t been playing that way. He needs to step it up.

12/25: 5-4, RPI #146. +2.0 PPG (#26), -1.8 RBs, +2.0 TOs. We still haven’t come together as a team.
