I'm not sure if this classifies as a defect per se, but I continually have a problem, too often occurring, where my quaterbacks, even highly rated ones, have really, really poor completion percentages in games. If you look at a top flight QB in the NFL, say a Drew Brees, you're going to have to look hard to find even one instance, much less multiple ones, where he was 11/26 at any point in any game. Yet, right now as I play the championship for my league, that is where the highest rated QB (as far as his attribute numbers) in the league sits. And I see this all the time, in fact I would say most games, at least 7/10, at one point well into games, for most of my highly rated qbs, their completion percentage will dip below 50%. It is very hard for an offense to have a lot of consistency when their passing games are frequently dipping below 50% in the middle of the third quarter.
So thats the overall theme - my offenses, even on teams who I envisioned and designed to have top flight passing attacks, are lacking a lot of consistency bc they are not achieving consistency in the passing games, and are able to rely on being 11/26 more often than being say 20/26 at some point in most games. This leads to a current state when the top offense are scoring 23-26 points per game instead of 27-30 where I would prefer to see them.
I have tried global edits to jack up the overall league accuracy of quarterbacks, yet continue to see this. Are others experiencing something like this? Like I said I've tried a lot of things, it's starting to feel like it's more of an overall game issue than just how my league is setup, but i'm willing to believe im wrong...
