No, the xml is input only.

I added that to my field, then saved the game and reloaded and it worked. I'll try and fix it in a future patch so the close/reload isn't required.

Unfortunately once you set the custom plays it won't pick them up until the league is re-loaded. I can't have the custom xml section work multiple times as it would have issues with duplicate play entries, etc. so for now a reload is going to be required. I also strongly suggest that if you "edit" the custom plays xml section that you don't remove any plays that you were using in playbooks... could cause some issues if you delete plays or rename the ones in use. Editing the actual actions and such may work assuming the play name stays the same.
