Deep Pass

Deep Pass

Postby hippithus » Sat Oct 31, 2020 2:20 pm

Has anybody ever seen one completed? It seems that no matter what, a deep pass of the ball traveling more that 10-15 yards in the air has a 0% chance of being completed. I have had a 100 overall QB pass to a wide open 94 overall WR and it just goes incomplete. I just played a game and had multiple plays where my WR wasn't even covered and was 20 yards down field, QB throws and it goes incomplete. Just wondering if there is a reason, if it's a bug, or if that is just not something that can be done.

They should be happening regularly with a decent qb and decent receiver... there is still a lower pct chance of connecting on the deep throws but it's not that drastic.

Maybe it's just with the league I have, but seems the only "big play" passes are ones that are 5 yard pass and then a big run after the catch. I'll try to pay more attention.

That's like the opposite of what I've seen. I created a Vertical passing playbook, heavily long and medium passes and inside runs, and the QB whose team I have it to has been tearing it up every year - we're taking 5000 yards and 40+ TDs. In my brief experience, the deep ball is a tad broken.
