Is there a way to place aa player on IR or LTIR?

I am playing as the Denver Nuggets in one of my files and Milsap tore his acl. his contract is 28 mil and he's out longer than his contract is with me through the next season. Is there a way to put him on the Long term Injury list and get some cap relief to make another move for a vet presence for this young team? (if not then I would request/suggest this as a possible addition in the future. Thanks!) This is something you can do in the real NBA depending on the situation. Thanks! really enjoying the heck out of this game so far!

There is not a way to do that in the game and the game does not have a disabled player exemption option. I will consider it for the future but because its such a rare thing I don't know if the complexity it would add would be worth the addition.
