Can I load 21 franchise into 23 and use the Independents?

So I started a franchise in DDS College Basketball 21 and I wanted to load that franchise into 22 and then load it into 23. If I load that franchise into 23, will I be able to load the Independents "conference" into this pre-existing franchise? I really want to move my school to Independents but 21 doesn't have Independents sadly.
