As you predicted, that didn't work. tried to run the .exe as admin, installed the game again, still the same. Yes, my other games on steam is working just fine.

Here's what I'd do. I'd download the demo from https://www.wolverinestudios.com/free-demo and see if the install straight from developer does it. That'll elminate Steam being a issue somehow.
Would love to see a light skin (or multiple skins) UI option for all games. Like a 2021 version and a 2024 version

Alright, that changed a lot. The demo works perfect, no font issues.

How long have you owned/played the Steam version of the game? If less than two weeks and under two hours of play time, you can request a refund from Steam. Sometimes they will even grant it a little bit longer if something really broken and you haven't taking advantage of refunds too much.

I bought it this weekend and have played for about 6 hours. Spent a lot time trying to get it to work.

Still might be a chance they accept the refund requests, since not working as designed. Worth submitting and worst they could do is decline it.

That's extremely strange to me. I've never noticed any issues between the webstore version and the steam version. I prefer steam due to the updates and all the rest of my games are there. Have you tried the steam game again since you installed the demo? Maybe it installed a file you needed that is shared between the two? Not sure.

If that didn't change anything, Would have to wait on Brooks to respond to confirm, but I'd think you'd be able to manually copy files over, especially if it's just a font issue.

As suggested, would be a good idea to confirm if the Steam version works after installing the Demo version. If it doesn't, don't think you will be able to manually just copy files over and correct the issue, as the Demo version should have installed all support files, including anything font related which was proven by it working. I suspect anything else would be embedded in the game exe file, which not sure that can be just copied over because of the integration with steam likely being different, while the non-steam version uses a difference license management system. Will be interesting to learn from the poster if they checked the Steam version after installing the demo to see if anything changed.

Of course Brooks knows best so will be interesting to hear what he has to say, this is truly a puzzling issue, especially when happening on multiple computers, which makes me think might be related to more of a Steam thing since that is a common factor between the computers as I assume the two computers are not identical otherwise.

Okay this is very strange.

So i uninstalled the Steam version, installed the demo version, which worked just as it should be. Now i've uninstalled the demo and reinstalled the Steam version, and now the Steam version works perfectly.
