Trades in Universe Mode..there's no CPU control is there?

So I bought PB 2024 recently and dove in immediately as I love the game; I loved PB 22 which was my first DDS game ever. After firing up 2024 and getting some hours into it, I remembered a key mistake I made in 2022 that caused me to have to restart my league - I started a Universe Mode and every single trade was accepted, because it's the Commissioner making the trades...no CPU involvement. So guess what I did this year? MADE A DANG UNIVERSE MODE, and didn't remember this until I went to make a trade during the NBA draft the second year of the game... I had to sim through the first year so I could expand the league to add my team, so that's why it took so long.

So someone please confirm or deny for me... While playing Universe Mode, every trade is accepted, correct? Another question: is there anyway anyone from WS could transfer my league data into a mode where I am only playing as my GM, and thus would be able to initiate trade offers without them being accepted every time? I don't want to lose what I've done with my team thus far, since I haven't cheesed anything; every trade has been a CPU initiated trade and I've just accepted instead of trying to counter and it be accepted no matter what.

I also don't want to continue like this though, as it made the draft and trade talks during extremely drawn out and boring. I spent HOURS trying to train ChatGPT to be a trade simulator, but it couldn't quite get it right for one reason or another. So now I am at the decision point of starting over, but that adds even more hours of repeated gameplay before I'm actually playing the game, since I'll once again have to sim an entire year to be able to expand the league, and then have to do the expansion draft again which took a little bit of time to make smart decisions.

So is there any hope here to save my hassle?!

PS: Gary, can we get Universe Mode to act the same as single player modes, just with the ability to overrule things? Like a "Force Trade?" option or something? I've made this mistake twice now, dang it LOL
