Ha, I never saw that the player's overall and whatnot showed up at the bottom of the screen in the depth chart, whoops. I no longer care that much about the overall to the left. :)

3) Is there an egregious example of this I can look at? Like which team(s) are the worst here?

4) Probably won't do this because what's the reasoning? It's really meant as a way to store your "normal" lineup so you can just swap back when people come back from injury. What would be the "other" lineup you would store? I think if anything I would lean more to like a sub button or something that put in the five best shooters or five best defenders or something like that if that is what you're going for.

#3 - I went back through each team and the only ones that are iffy (but readable) are black team colors (Brooklyn, Portland, San Antonio, Utah...Indiana was almost in that category too). Very minor though. It honestly looked harder to read when I made the comment. Maybe my lighting was crappy haha.

#4 - Gotcha, yeah and if it slows down the game in any way, not worth it. Game is very fast by the way!! It's not actually something I've thought of needing but thought it'd be a nice option. Now if we're talking strategy options...like conditional lineups...I'd definitely use that. Like which players to prioritize when the game is slipping away and you need that extra offensive punch, which overrides the pre-set depth chart...that sounds very handy, but that would be a whole different version to add that stuff.

Thanks for looking into these minor things. I'll try to find more stuff. The player photos look way cool. Glad that was able to work out.

I noticed that if you have all 18 spots filled on your roster, the Viewing Cards card cuts off the 18th man on the View Team tab.

I don't remember if there was a reasoning for your Two-Way guys to not be able to play NBA games without being converted to a standard contract? I'm positive you can be active for like 50 days and play in like max 41 games at the NBA level if you're on a 2-Way (In the Real NBA)

AWESOME - the Starting Lineup Number Outline did the trick. Much better looking. Thanks.

You are correct but the reason here is its in the category of how real do we go. Like when doing the salaries and the CBA...there are way more rules in real life but its a lot to deal with as it is for someone who is not like a super hardcore NBA cap guy so there are times when I balance having the spirit of the concept to make it more fun to play versus the real way it works. Having the 2 way guys work as a "extra guys you can stash and then convert" for your team is a better game concept than worrying about how many days with the team he has and having to manage that and how many games has he played, can he play etc...to me its just more work than it is worth for the player to have to do so I simplified the concept so that you still can sign these guys and use them but you simply just call them up and convert them to a normal contract to do it.

Another triumph!

Some suggestions.

1.This is one I made last year because some people including myself feel like the box score font is too small and I felt like this was a solution/compromise you might be able to implement:

I have a suggestion to alleviate the small font issue on the box score. How about another button 0n the box score page maybe on the bottom in the right hand corner labeled newspaper box score or basic box score and when you click it, it opens up a window-similar in style to the player page window. But instead of the player page it opens up the box score without all the logos and pictures and bar graphs. With no pictures, and a whole window, the box score can be displayed in a bigger font and be easier to read.

2. As of now, During the draft, you must click on the chat window to dimiss the chat bubble, and sometimes the process feels a bit unwieldy because you don't know where the chat window is going to appear and when the next one is going to pop up. Is it possible to have a dedicated/permanent button in the corner during the draft that you can click that will remove/bring up the next chat window?

3. For the draft fanfare, is it possible to include the stats and position underneath the player's name? Added context here I think would be great/more immersive

4. On the breaking news, is it possible to add stats on the screen somewhere because I don't always know who the player is. It would be nice if you can click on it too, so you can directly go to the player page from the breaking news.

5. A filter for the breaking news page to customize what kind of news we can get and maybe adjust the frequency. I haven''t played the game enough to know how many stat based breaking news things there are , but for me I wouldn't mind notifictions on team winning streaks/losing streaks and invidiual player streaks of note. I know not everyone would like that which is why a filter could be nice for this.

I think that's all I have for now. Thanks again for a great release!

Ok, now I think I remember that explanation from a previous year.

In my opinion, that defeats some of the purpose for 2-ways. Yes they get a salary bump, but other than the money, why would they sign a 2-way with 1 team as opposed to being a free-agent so that if they ball-out in the G-League, they have more options on where to sign a regular contract? I would think they mostly sign for a chance to get their cup of coffee in the NBA and prove something. That being said, I do get that many 2-way players don't end up playing much if any NBA minutes, but with injuries and rest being more common than in the past, I can definitely see utility there. Also it gives teams a chance to see how fringe guys do against better competition without the risk of taking up a roster spot. The hassle of worrying about overplaying a 2-way guy in the NBA shouldn't be an issue for the GM/Coach in most cases, because they're not gonna be a consistent part of a rotation. If they were, it would be obvious to convert them (unless you have no spots available).

It is a minor feature, so I can understand it not being worth it, but the above would be my pitch.

Hi Gary,

Thanks for another great DDS release. I didn't play 24 (moved house so had no time) but have bought 25. Thoughts and suggestions below from my few hours playing so far.

Positives

1) The UI during a match/game is beautiful. Coupled with the real world mod and graphics, it looks sharp and real.
2) The breaking news popups are great. Anything like this to help immerse the player in the world around them is a plus for me. In sports sims, it can often be easy to just focus on the team you manage and ignore what's going on around you.
3) The 2D gamecast view is a winner. I find myself preferring this.
4) The build seems very stable. I haven't noticed any major issues so far.

Queries/Issues

1) Suns owner, Mat Ishbia, seems to have the 'owner info' (tendencies) of previous owner Robert Sarver. We have seen IRL Ishbia's willingness to spend big, and go after superstars (KD). This is not reflected in game.
2) This season is the debut season of Suns G-League team, Valley Suns. The affiliated team in game is Colorado - I'm assuming the Suns are one of the two teams not allocated a G-League team in game (which up until this season was correct).
3) On the NBA Draft Scouting screen, the columns are not sortable. I'm sure in DDS 23 I could sort the draft prospects by PPG, Rebounds etc at anytime on that screen. Now it is just ordered by the ranking column.

Suggestions

1) Is it feasible to have a 'TRADE' button/option on a player profile which would navigate directly to the trade screen and populate the player there? Use case for this is I'm looking through the player search screen for players, I click a profile and think I'd like to trade for them, I can't do that from their profile. I have to exit the popup and navigate to the Trade screen, find the team, and then the player.
2) Could we have a screen/menu item that only lists all players currently on the trade block? I know in player search we can sort the trade status column, but having a dedicated screen that just houses these players would make it easier, especially closer to trade deadline.
3) Similar to the above, what about breaking news items for big names who get placed on the trade block? It would serve as another way of keeping the user immersed in the game world, and also help the user to keep up to date with potential big trade opportunities.

Thank you again for producing such a fun game. My biggest takeaway from the new trade/salary rules is just how screwed the Suns are. They've bet the farm and if it doesn't come off this year, there's no wiggle room for 3-4 years (and IRL they don't even have their draft picks)

There's multiple teams like this (Nuggets, Celtics). I'm in 2026 January and Jaylen Brown tore his ACL. I tried to get creative in helping the team out but you just can't.... we will likely have a new Eastern champ this year. I kind of love it actually..... go all in with a few players and you are playing with fire. The Suns are about to trade Durant in my sim, they are 11-26 and the big three have played almost every game!

I've played through two seasons now and you are absolutely right! This new CBA is going to cause some IRL chaos in the next couple of seasons I think, especially with how different trading is compared to old.

Couple more feedback points having now played through 2 full seasons:

Draft Day UI is so much better than in 23 (last one I played). Having the full pick order on screen is super helpful, especially when trying to trade up/down during the event.

I put in a feature request a few years ago to add player personality to the draft pool scout reports. I noticed this in game when doing my first draft. Thank you for adding this, Gary!
