Bulk Edit Player Names?

Good evening.

I am attempting to begin a league in the Fallout universe, and I like to give colorful nicknames* and family names* to my players. Is there a way for me to bulk edit the names file instead of individually editing each name?

*Some examples from my baseball league's All-Star lineups:

On the left side menu where your player name is that is a drop box where you can change to commissioner mode. There you can find an option to export data to a database which you can open with SQLite and make your edits and then use that same function in the commissioner office to upload those. This feature is meant for editing only - do not add rows or columns or things like that and do not change team identifiers as that could cause errors but for editing names its perfect for what you want.

Thanks, Gary!

Is there a "best time" to edit the names? I am playing with the names in my test league (July 2 in game), but see a lot of guys listed as "rookie rookie" in the file though they appear to have name IDs (zimmem01, for example). The veteran names appear as expected. As a followup, should I change their UniqueID, too, or is it ok to leave them as is even if I change first and last names?

ah two important things here

leave rookie rookie alone - its just a placeholder in the ordering from a retired player who will be filled by a new rookie coming in - we do not want to edit the playerID numbers for anyone and do not want to remove or add them

The uniqueids for the players you are changing I would leave since they are already tied to those players and tied to use in the database

I could not make a new thread, so I will post this here hoping it will be seen. I went to the Support Forum and attempted to use that information to fix my problem. Unfortunately, that support information was not accurate for the current version of the game since it does not create a folder under the Wolverine Studios in Documents. All my saves are in the C:// folder where the game is installed.

I am receiving an "Illegal Characters in Path" error in they game. I am not sure if this is a result of editing anything or something else. On the game day, November 28, 2313, I receive the same error where the simulation will not move on. I tried to delete the game and reinstall it in case the GameSettings or another file was corrupt, but that did not solve the issue. Any advice would be appreciated.

This is most likely because of something you edited with the names. Did you use characters like commas, periods etc when putting the names in? You can't use anything that you wouldn't be able to use when naming a file. Like you could not name a file myfile.inprogress.txt or something like that
