I'm gonna assume the "Show Accurate Ratings" Option doesn't change anything in Universe Mode?

It will take the scouting error out of it and you will just know the player ratings for all the players.

Would it be reasonably possible to offer each:
1) Fog of war for all ratings
2) Accurate ratings for own team
3) Accurate ratings for whole league?

I would agree with Wayne's take, and would assume that you can continue to build on the scouting report of any given player (which would show in the game as increasingly accurate ratings) each time you play their team.

Ohh, I had no clue there was scouting errors as commissioner. I mean, the overall stars were always a bit in flux, but I never realized the individual ratings could be slightly off. Glad I asked. Thanks.

I was under the same impression. Since you're already working on a PB update relating to CB, could you also add this feature in PB?

I realistically won't be using it in my normal playthroughs, but it would definitely come in handy when I want to collect data on certain aspects of the game while in Universe Mode.

Good on you for asking jl43! :D

No because its pointless and a never ending cycle of "but can I just have accurate ratings for ...."

I don't like this setting at all. The game was designed to be played a certain way - if you play it the way it was designed to be played then you get no info on players you should have no info on, a certain level of error on players you scout once and better scouting on your own players (and the elite players in the country) which I think is a great design and realistic. I've given an option for people who don't like that - you just get to see the ratings - but that's as far as its going. I'm not going to spend any further time on it or parsing it out into subsets of what is accurate and what is not.

I cannot. It causes a new data variable that needs to be stored so it would invalidate all the PB leagues.

I like the ratings being a little uncertain if they are accurate for other teams as Gary has it. I think in conference they can be a little more accurate because you see those teams frequently thus know them. Thus even with them not as accurate we adjust after playing them knowing their players talents better. I agree with Wayne. Our own teams ratings should be accurate. Because you practice with them every day. But having our coach (not be accurate) leads to us knowing they aren't very good at their job. That adds to the game also.

Yeah and if you think about it, there's no point in having a SCOUT in your Coaching Staff if their input (good, avg or bad) doesn't have an impact on what ratings you see. It adds to the challenge of the game if you think you can identify things on the fly, then you might not need a good scout. If you aren't as keen on adjusting strategy to a new player/team, then having a good scout is important. Unless you're playing as commissioner or just want a simpler, streamlined experience, then the Fog of War is important. Glad there are options.
