I have another suggestion for NIL. As in real life, NIL should be able to be used to retain players. My thought is to maybe have an expected base level per school for retention. This is chosen and comes out of the NIL budget. This would work much like the facilities budgets work now and make players more or less likely to want to transfer. Then I would suggest moving the transfer decisions until after the budget decisions are made and allow the player to make an NIL offer to a player who wants to transfer in an effort to keep them. If successful this amount would also come out of the NIL budget. This would make NIL management much more dynamic. Also, I like the way Gary seems to be going with the next version of NIL in allowing a little more micromanagement but not complete control.
