New League Best Settings? Suggested House Rules?

Postby Iorwerth » Sat Apr 12, 2025 11:12 am

I have just got the game and am planning a single player career game, but am wondering whether there are New League settings I should set for the best experience.

What I was thinking was to use the default settings, but:

1. Practice squad of 10 rather than 15. What is best practice squad size to help the AI be as good as it can be?

2. Increased CPU Difficulty - was thinking of ticking this, to make AI as competent as possible, but not 100% sure what it does really. Should I tick it to help the AI?

3. Enable Signing Bonuses (BETA) - was thinking of ticking this, but again worrying about whether this negatively affects the AI, and it is BETA - should I tick this box?

4. Enable RFA? I was thinking of keeping this ticked. Is that a good idea?

5. All the money settings I was just going to leave, but should I change these?

Any setting guidance and advice would be great! I am a bit of a loss as to what to choose to get best out of the game when playing against AI

Also, I don't want to game the system to get an unfair advantage against the AI. Are there any house rules that I should follow to make the experience as good as I can?

RFA won't do anything in a career mode since the CPU doesn't make RFA offers yet. Signing Bonuses would be fine to turn on. Increased CPU difficulty will make it a bit more difficult to compete in FA and coach signings so you can enable that later if you find it too easy to build a team. PS of 10/15 is also something you can change later, but I'm not sure lowering the number makes the AI better. It may be something you have to tinker with.
