4/3: #4 ranked Wisconsin beats Duke for the title.

I have a lot more free time than I expected to have. The good side to that is I’m spending that time with the kids, which is always great.

Von and I have a terrific relationship, as we have from the start. We rarely disagree but when we do we work it out. We’ve never had a real fight, or a protracted argument. Family life is great.

4/4: Awards: Den Turr is National POY. In the ACC Turr is POY and 1st team. Aimo Haki is Frosh OY and 1st team.

4/9: I’m not going anywhere.

4/23: I ask for a facilities upgrade.

No.

We finish a disappointing season 30-7 and went out in the 2nd round. Overall, for 13 seasons, I’m 363-106, .774.

Von took a month off after Sean was born then went back to work. It was the busy season so she was kept VERY busy. She managed to see the kids most days though. Our nanny is fantastic and she filled the gap.

5/1: #2 recruiting class, #1 preseason.

5/22: We lose 2 guys who were never going to play. We’ll take the best players we can get but at least one big guy.

5/26: Emma turns 2!

5/29: No luck in the Portal. Still trying.

6/2: We give up on the Portal.

6/25: Going to Indy and the 5 regional camps.

6/26: We need a guard and 2 big guys.

7/17: We offer to 3.

This is my favorite time of year. From the end of the Final Four until mid-August Von works only one day a week, on the desk at EPSN. So she’s home a lot. The kids and I get to spend lots of time with her. I support her working but it’s nice during the off season.

8/7: Turr is left off the Norton list yet again which I will never understand. 5 of our guys are on the list headed by frosh PF Pete Grif at #8.

9/11: We lose a guard.

9/18: We get 2 PFs lose a guard, offer to another one.

Competitive pre-conf. sched.

Von is back to work, on her football schedule, which means Sat., Sun., Mon. most weeks, but in the4 studio so she comes home every night.

9/25: We lose a 3rd guard.

10/2: 1st day of practice.

We lose another guard. There are no other guards we’re interested in, at least for now.

11/12: We start tomorrow at the Legends Classic vs. Cornell. We’re the #3 seed, they’re #14.

Here’s our lineup:

Soph Jake Chap is at the Point.

Junior Mark Gill is at SG.

#3 guard, senior Coy Malo, will play a lot. Frosh Jay Humm is really good for a frosh. Finally, there’s Abe Bass, who is also pretty good.

Soph Aimo Haki is at SF.

Frosh Pete Grif is at PF.

Junior Den Turr is in the middle.

1st big off the bench is frosh Jim Camm, who is good enough to start. Finally, there’s soph Mark Doug, who started last year.
