Tip off (1st Half)
13:05, Up 14-10
We're winning the rebounding battle 13-4 (6-0 off rebs)
8:21, Up 21-15
4:24, Up 32-15
I am very pleased with the way the guards and small forwards attack the basket.
Halftime, Up 40-27
I don't mind missing some shots in the paint (46% FG), as long as we are crashing the boards (10 off rebs). We're winning significantly on 2nd chance pts (11-2), and fast break pts (10-0)
Field, Johnson, and Smith each with 9 pts. VANDY's Tyreck Pohlman with 8 pts
Start of 2nd Half
15:52, Up 48-29
Another advantage of taking it strong to the hoop is we can fish for fouls. VANDY committed 3 fouls already inside the paint. We can do some improvement though, on our 8-15 FT
9:08, Up 60-41
3:09, Up 69-46
Bench warmers will be given some playing time
Final score: Sam Houston St - 75, Vanderbilt - 52

Post Game Notes
[INDENT]1. I'm not worried much on our 41% FG shooting. As long as we continue taking high percentage inside shots inside teh paint, then our FG% will rise soon. We only took 6 3PAs (making 2), so that is definitely a good sign
2. SG Keith Field is a solid all-around player. Not only he can score (outside and drive plays), but he can also rebound and defend. PF Rashif McCoy has improved from last year, which gives me 3 reliable players (together with Jackson and Johnson) that I can confidently rotate without losing our ability to score on post plays.
3. VANDY's PG DeMarr Allen had 13 pts. PG Tyrech Pohlman (11 pts) had only 3 pts in the 2nd half
