5/1: Preseason #1, recruiting class #13.
5/14: “We need to strip it down to the floor and walls.”
“Yes. The geeks have gone through the computers right down to the most basic levels and that's not where the grain problems lie. So there's got to be something, a virus we can't detect or something. So yeah, let's shut it down, strip it down, and start from scratch.”
It's not easy being without bread, without wheat and oats in any form, no breakfast cereals with them, no pancakes, waffles, toast... Yes, we're making things out of rice, potatoes, and some other things but it's not the same. And rice bread and potato bread don't make very good sandwiches as it turns out.
People have had to change a lot about what they eat and they're not happy about it.
“If all goes well it will take about a year to get up and running again, IF that solves the problem.”
5/29: We lose 2. One of them would have gotten minutes, the other wouldn't have. We need a big man and a guard.
Round 1: No offers.
Round 2: We offer to 2, both Bs. We get a guard. He'll play, may start.
Round 3: We offer to a PF, rated B. Got him. He'll get minutes.
6/25: We'll go to Indy and all the regional camps.
The Bai have been fully assimilated onto the ship. They have been assigned work and living quarters. They socialize with the rest of us. There are even relationships between one of our people and one of their people. It is doubtful that many people see it as our people and their people. We are pretty much one group now.
6/26: No scholarships to offer.
